Patching

Patching Street is one of those builds that holds a special place for us. D & A came to us wanting to build their dream home in one of the most beautiful spots on the Bellarine Peninsula, perched on the Point Lonsdale golf course with west facing sunset views that stop you in your tracks.

We were already close with D &A before the build, which made the pre-construction process feel natural. They had their plans done before they came to us, which isn't our preferred way into a project, and we worked through some updates and revisions to the drawings before we were ready to proceed. By mid 2022 construction was well underway.

The design is a beautiful Hamptons farmhouse style, and it wears it well. Hampton style timber windows, white weatherboard cladding, and a wide street frontage that rises up from the street level and commands a presence you notice immediately. The full width veranda across the front ties it all together, the kind of porch that makes you want to sit down, watch the sunset over the golf course, and not go anywhere.

Inside, that same warmth carries through. Farmhouse style butler sinks in both the kitchen and pantry, a travertine fireplace anchoring the living room, herringbone timber floors and hydronic heating throughout keep the home comfortable all year round. Custom tapware, an Aga oven and cooktop, beautiful feature tiling. Through the double French doors and into the entry, the first thing that stops you is the enormous stair void and the chandelier hanging above the wraparound stair. Wow factor everywhere you look.

D & A were wonderful clients and our whole team grew really close to them through the process. A was on site almost every day, talking golf with John our project manager or just admiring the boys' handiwork. That kind of relationship makes a twelve month build something you look back on fondly. We are thrilled to have brought something like this to Point Lonsdale
