Alison

Project Alison is a dual occupancy townhouse development in beautiful Portarlington. Two spacious, architecturally designed four bedroom townhouses that have it all and the view.

We worked with our clients and Studio A2 Architects through the entire design process, shaping this project into something considered and unique. The existing home was demolished towards the back end of design, the site cleared, and from there construction started, two homes standing side by side but feeling entirely their own.

That was the brief and that was the challenge. Similar in design but distinct and separate. Each townhouse has its own identity, its own character. The architecture, mix of materials and cantilevered roof designs make these two more than the stock standard development.

Step inside and you're greeted by curved walls and accents, natural timber floors, and an open timber stair rising through avoid that stops you in your tracks. High ceilings throughout, scalloped wall panelling, timber lined eaves on the front alfresco, and feature tiling that sets the tone early.

The floor plan leaves nothing out. Spacious living areas, mudroom, study, walk in pantry, walk in linen, rear deck, front balcony with views to the You Yangs, and provisions for a future elevator. The master suite delivers a walk in robe with panelled joinery and ensuite access at a level of detail you don't see every day, with access to each through the bank of robe joinery doors between the built in robes

Being engaged early through the design phase meant we could guide the project from concept through to construction, streamlining decisions and keeping things moving. It's the kind of early involvement that makes a real difference to the outcome.
